The Threshold: Editorial Inquiry

Faylita Hicks — Wild Light Institute

Every manuscript arrives at a threshold. This form is where we begin to listen to yours. Take your time. Honest answers serve the work. I read every submission personally before responding.

About the Work

Tell me about the project before anything else. Logistics come later.

Working title is fine.
Choose the closest fit. Hybrid and interdisciplinary work is always welcome here.
Don't shrink it into a category that doesn't fit. Name it the way you would to a reader you trust.
Approximate is fine. If the work is ongoing, share what has been done.
What is this project trying to do? What do you sense isn't working — or what do you not yet have language for? You can be in-process. You can be uncertain. Just tell me the truth as you know it.
About the Support You're Seeking

I offer traditional editorial services alongside practice-based support for writers navigating craft, career, and calling together.

These can be added to any tier or requested on their own. Check everything that calls to you.
